Elgort is best known for his fashion photography, the american photographer has worked alongside vogue and traveled internationally and worked with british vogue, Glamour magazine, Rolling stone and advertising for Chanel, Valentino and yevs saint laurent.
Elgort has also had his work presented in permanent collections at the international centre pf photography.

His wife is a producer, stage director and choreographer and he used this to hiss advantage when it comes to his work. He uses a snapshot style, he introduced this style of work into british vogue first and created a epademic of snapshot photography. he emphasises on the movement and natural light when photographing his subjects.
